Where CDCR Releases Go

A person sentenced from Glenn County to state prison is no longer a county-jail release case once CDCR receives the commitment. The Glenn County Jail record may confirm the transfer out of local custody, but it does not answer whether the person was later released from state prison, paroled, discharged, resentenced, or held because of a detainer. The state-prison release record belongs to CDCR and related state systems.

The state-prison path also includes CDCR case records, the Division of Adult Parole Operations, and the Board of Parole Hearings for people whose sentence or status includes parole consideration. 3. Open the matching result and look for whether the person is still in CDCR custody, released, discharged, paroled, or tied to a parole-eligible date.
4. For common names or unknown housing, use CDCR's family resources route. The research file records that CDCR's ID Unit can help identify a CDCR number or housing assignment and lists 916-445-6713, with date of birth required for common names.
5. If the issue is sentence calculation, amended judgment, resentencing, detainer, or release processing, route the question to CDCR case records for the housing institution or to the court if the dispute is about the underlying Glenn County order.

California's public state-prison release information uses named concepts. The Board of Parole Hearings explains Earliest Possible Release Date, Minimum Eligible Parole Date, Nonviolent Parole Eligible Date, Youth Parole Eligible Date, Elderly Parole Eligible Date, and the controlling parole eligible date. That matters for Glenn County families and record users because a date can be reached without a simple community release. Penal Code section 4019 is the county-jail conduct-credit statute for many local custody situations. Do not combine these into a single formula for every Glenn County inmate.
